planning for the future is escapism, lack of charisma can be fatal, knowing yourself lets you understand others, ambivalence can ruin your life, symbols are more meaningful than things themselves, anger or hate can be a useful motivating force, a sincere effort is all you can ask, the cruelest disappointment is when you let yourself down, the mundane is to be cherished, expiring for love is beautiful but stupid, a positive attitude means all the difference in the world.

The Bright Lights of Shanghai

I really am trying to blog about my trip to China... I promise.
Until I'm really able to sit down and write, and upload photos, quick little posts will have to do.
Btw: Happy 11/11/11 everyone!!!
I love Veterans Day (I've blogged about it before back in 2008), but I also love that today marks the opening of the first H&M clothing store in the great state of Utah- hooray!!!

Alice: Well I can't believe the stuff that is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and I can't believe that both I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and the stuff that I can't believe is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter are both, in fact, not butter. And I believe they both might be butter, in a cunning disguise. And in fact there's a lot more butter around than we all thought there was.
