Dreaming

Have you watched this week’s Modern Family yet? I have been day dreaming about vacations a lot lately so now I SO want to go to Hawaii and stay at the Four Seasons!!! I found it very interesting that they were by the pool almost in every shot and never at the beach, did any one else notice that?

Well I think that situation would be perfect for my family.  Lesley HATES natural bodies of water (irrational but I completely understand it) so the pool situation would work for her.  My mother could go to the lavender farm and take my dad along to give him something to do.  We could go to the beach with the nieces and nephews and let them play in the sand and then we would get all together at night for dinner. 

It really is ideal- now I just have to talk my parents into a family vacation.  We’ve done Vegas as a family but it has kind of lost its excitement.  I remember doing some family vacations when we were younger, like our stay at the Phoenician in Phoenix or our trips to Disney World where Dad had business conferences.

What would be really fun is a CRUISE!! That would be the perfect family vacation with so much to do and see to please everyone.  If you want to sit by the pool and be warmed by the sun, you can do that! If you want to shop or see the locals, you can do that!! It seems like a win-win situation :)

In conclusion, I just really want to go somewhere fun and relaxing. Sadly, I am too poor to actually go on vacation and I’m a workaholic so even if I did get a vacation, I’d be too worried about work the whole time. I guess my overnight trip to Moab with my singles ward next weekend will have to suffice for this summer. I’m supposed to be having more fun in 2010 but I’m not.  I don’t know how to have fun.
