One of my You Tube friends sent me this video and I've been trying to send it to my sisters who are now obsessed with the series, like everyone else whose read them. Why does it have this all encompassing power and hold over readers? Is there anyone who doesn't like them?
Anywho, I have some issues with who they picked to play a couple of characters, but what do you all think?
Wouldn't it be great if we turned this into our own little Twilight forum? :)

Sorry I can't get this link thing to work- does anyone?
I'll put the address up here and maybe you can cut and paste it into your web browser.
Good Luck- I think it is worth the effort :)

Ok, I'm not going to lie--I REFUSE to read Twilight. I can't do it. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, but I know you still love me :)
I do still love you Kendra.
I was the same way this summer until I got very bored thinking I had a 14 hour flight ahead of me, so I bought it, read it, bought New Moon in Singapore, and Eclipse when I got home.
Actually, I find the books deliciously awful. The plot line is laughable at parts and the majority of the time you can hear my say "Oh, come on" as I'm reading as it is overly rediculous and melodramatic. Lesley will vouche for this behavior.
I just love Edward. He is the quintessential bad boy with a heart of gold that girls are drawn to.
I basically hate everyone else except for Alice and now a little bit of Rosalie.
Bella is a stupid, irrational, selfish, bratty girl who I really hope dies in the end. I can't stand her and she does not deserve someone as good as Edward.
Yet with all these flaws (and many more that drive me crazy but have not mentioned here), you can't stop reading the books. It has this power over you to keep reading. It's like watching a really sappy/crappy movie that you really can't believe that you're watching, but then you can't stop watching and have to finish it before you pick up the remote.
Like I said: Deliciously Awful
How funny that you posted about Twilight! I was going to do it today, and then looked at your blog and saw that you already did! I do have to confess that I am totaly obsessed. I read all three books in 10 days and now I am reading them again for the second time.
I love how easy they are to read and how she, Stephenie, pulls you into the story. I enjoy her style of writing and find it completely ejoyable.
I love Jacob Black, Edward, Alice, and Bella. I do have to agree that Bella is somewhat self absorbed, selfish, and anoying; but weren't we all at her age???
I like to go to Stephenie Meyer's web site and read the outtakes from the book. She also has a Q&A section, very insightful! I also have to admit that I have gone to Edward and Bella's My space pages (yes they do have them) and other fan web sites. It is embarassing but true!
Back off! Edward's mine!!!!!!!!
NO WAY, MEG! This is my fantasy world, I mean blog, and I Edward Cullen is mine!
LOL
Oh my goodness, I'm completely obsessed!!! And when i say obsessed i mean it. I read all three and the first one again in three days. I'm terrible.:-)I read the series in January during a big weekend storm (rainy and windy). Haha- perfect setting eh? I can't wait to read Breaking Dawn!!!
So- what are your thoughts on casting especially for Edward and Bella??
Well where should I begin? :)
I think Robert Pattinson is a good choice for Edward, as he has the Roman nose, but I'm not convinced so we'll see how it goes. I think he has the potential to be great.
Kristen Stewart as Bella, well I don't know her at all, but she looks kind of how I imagined Bella. Again, let's give her a chance to prove herself.
I have major issues with who they cast to be Carlise (I can't spell). He looks too creepy and not debonair enough to play him.
I also boarder line hate Rosalie. She is supposed to be blonde and 1930s heiress, an all American girl next door. The actress set to play her looks a little latina and not at all how I imagined her.
No matter what, I'm probably going to have major issues with the whole film. I always do when my favorite books are turned into movies. It will always be better in my imagination and it must be really hard to please SO many readers and meet all their expectations.
I'm very worried about the Shopaholic movie which is also in production. They cast Isla Fisher at Becky Bloomwood, and this scrawny 20 year old boy as Luke and Suze is a brunette! I'm going to hate it, but probably see it million times nonetheless! :)
The first time I saw the choices for Bella and Edward, I didn't like them. However, now that I have had some time for it to sink in so to say, they might just work out perfectly. I do have to say that it would be a difficult part to cast/play being that all the Cullins are "perfect" in every way.
Yes, which is why their choice of actors should stand up to scrutiny. I really don't like who they chose to play the patriarch of the Cullen coven.
On the other hand, who they chose to play James... he is too gorgeous to hate, but then maybe that is his draw. He is so hot that you kind of want to get bit by him! LOL
Did I ever tell you that last summer Kirk took me to Forks! We camped in the Hoh Rainforest, swam at First Beach, drove though the Indian Reservations, toured the Olymipic National Park, and had dinner at an Italian restaurant in Port Angeles. It was fun.
And...La Push is Kirk's favorite surf spot. Yes, Kirk surfs, infact his surf board is hanging above our bed.
NO WAY!!!
Your hubby gets more and more awesome :) LOL
How was Port Angeles? I'm dying to drive up the coast as I hear the small seaside towns are simply breathtakingly picturesque.
I'm jealous!
Meg, Oh my gosh! I was going to ask you if you moved up to Washington just to be closer to Forks as a joke! I am so envious that you have been there. I would love to visit, just to feed my obsession for Twilight even more!
Did you see the big drift wood trees on First Beach? Do you have any pictures?
